From Here was chosen to be part of Pushing the Limits, a fiber show at Artspace Gallery in Richmond, VA. This exhibition, from May 28 through June 20, 2010, is part of Minds Wide Open: Women in the Arts.
*The Awareness is travelling to Istanbul*
I am one of three VCU graduate students chosen to participate in the 5th International Student Triennial in Istanbul, Turkey. The Awareness will be exhibited at one of the galleries of Marmara University from June 4 - 30, 2010.
*I'm Graduating from VCU*
With the mounting of my thesis exhibition at Virginia Commonwealth University's Anderson Gallery, I complete my studies for a Master in Fine Art! My work will be up from April 23- June 4 2010.
*Quietly, Quietly exhibited in Fiberart International 2010*
Quietly, Quietly will be on tour with Fiberart International 2010 from April 2010 into 2012, starting at the Society for Contemporary Craft in Pittsburgh, PA. It will travel to the Memorial Art Gallery of the University of Rochester, NY, and the San Francisco Museum of Craft + Design, CA.

Holding In has been accepted into radius250, an exhibition featuring artists working within 250 miles of Richmond, VA. *The C Word: VCU Craft/Material Studies Candidacy Exhibition*
Andrea and her fellow first-year CMS graduate students have mounted their candidacy exhibition, The C Word, at the beautiful Metro Space Gallery in Richmond, VA. The show opens on First Friday, April 3 2009, and runs through April 25. Come see my newest large-scale weaving, Holding In, and wonderful new works by the other six first-years as well!

Quietly, Quietly will be on exhibition at the Wichita Center for the Arts in Wichita, Kansas for National Fiber Directions 2009. The show runs from March 13 to May 10, 2009.
*Quietly, Quietly to be featured at American Craft Council*
"SCHOOL-TO-MARKET: The Council has invited two exceptional colleges – Savannah College of Art and Design and Virginia Commonwealth University – to debut their top students' work at the show."
Quietly, Quietly will be a central feature of the VCU Department of Craft/Material Studies booth at The American Craft Show, ACC Baltimore. The show will be open to the public (tickets required) from Friday, February 28 to Sunday, March 1, 2009.
*1708 Graduate FORUM*
On Saturday, February 7th from 5-8:30pm I will be participating in a graduate student Forum in which I and the other eight nominated graduate students will give presentations of our work, speak about our processes and influences and have a question and answer time.
*Systems Meditation Series in invitational group show, Richmond, VA*
The Systems Meditation Series will be on exhibition along with work by eight other graduate students from VCU and UVA in the gallery spaces of the Capital One Building in Richmond, VA. The show will run January through April 2009, and is accompanied by a Forum at the 1708 Gallery in Richmond.
*Inspired Design: Jacquard and Entrepreneurial Textiles Conference*
I will be attending the three-day conference in Hendersonville, NC as a student assistant. Inspired Design is sponsored by the Center for Craft, Creativity and Design.
